Learn Your Eye Shape
When I turned 16 I started getting into make up. I loved the way a lash would complete any look and inspire me when I wanted to be creative with make up. Being a young girl, I looked up to influencers to teach me make up tips and tricks. I have smaller eyes and struggled to know what lashes would suit my small, rounded eyes. This is why I decided to create my own lash brand selling lashes suitable for everyone. I also have over 4 years experience being an eyelash technician, this enables me to fully understand the different eye shapes, what lashes suit different shapes and how to use lashes effectively to compliment your face shape.
Round Eyes
If you have round eyes, you often have large eyes and are able to see white around your iris. Wispy lashes with more drama towards the outer corner will create a seductive cat-eye shape while curled options will add even more drama.
Almond Eyes
For almond-shaped eyes, you won’t be able to see any white above or below your iris (unlike round eyes). You can get away with almost any lash you like, and you can show off the sexy shape of your eyes with voluminous lashes that are evenly distributed all the way along the band.
Small or Hooded Eyes
The term hooded describes how the fold of the eyelid hides some of your lid when your eyes are open, making not all of the lid visible. The goal with hooded eyes and small eyes is to open up the eye as much as possible. Dramatic, long and thick lashes can often look too heavy and can make your eyes look smaller. Instead, choose lashes that are shorter and more natural-looking. Lashes that are slightly longer in the center can also help to create an illusion of depth. Alternatively, using a short cat eye/winged out lash placed slightly above the outer corner can create the illusion of a almond eye shape.
I would definitely recommend experimenting with different lash shapes and styles. Learn to love your eyes.
